online school for athletes and performers

One-to-one IGCSE & A Level with fully flexible scheduling built around your child's training blocks, tournament calendar, and time zone. Not against them.

“your child’s sport is not the problem.
the system is the problem.”

Every athlete in your child’s position eventually faces the same choice: the training schedule that builds the career, or the school timetable that fits everyone else. Six days a week of training. Early mornings. Afternoon sessions. Travel for tournaments. Recovery days that a school calendar does not recognise.

Recovery Days

Traditional schools are built for children who can be in one place, at one time, every day. That is not your child.

And the online schools that claim to be ‘flexible’ often mean self-paced content libraries with no live instruction, which means no teacher, no structure, and no accountability. Your child deserves better than a video library and a hope that they will study between sessions.

 weschool  five pillars

how weschool works for athletes

the grade 9 to 12 collision

The years of peak athletic development are the exact years of IGCSE and A Level examinations. This is not a coincidence. It is a structural collision that traditional schools cannot solve. weschool bridges it not by reducing academic standards, but by removing the structural impossibility that traditional schools create.

Flexible Scheduling

Sessions are timed around training blocks. Morning training? Sessions in the afternoon. Afternoon training? Sessions in the morning. Competition week? Sessions pause and resume when your child is ready.

Time Zone Adaptation

When your child travels for competition, the timetable is rebuilt for their current country and time zone. Zimbabwe to India and back — zero sessions missed. This is not an exception. It is standard delivery.

One-to-one Delivery

No group pacing pressure. If your child needs an extra session before an examination, it happens. If they need a lighter week after a tournament, it happens.

Academic Coordinator

A dedicated coordinator manages all scheduling complexity. They communicate with you, the academy, and the tutor team. You do not manage the logistics.

Examination Registration

Managed through Edexcel Centre #95580 and CAIE partner centres. Your child sits examinations at the nearest approved centre, wherever they are.

remember  your child's training schedule is the starting point

we evaluate every learner carefully before accepting. because fit matters.

That process begins with a conversation, not a form. Every athlete deserves a programme built specifically for them.

 tlc  the assessment

we do not start by teaching.

we start by understanding.

No parent walks into a hospital and tells the doctor which medicine to prescribe. Yet most education decisions start with the subject, not the learner.

At weschool@catalyze, every programme begins with the TLC Learning Assessment, a structured process that maps your child’s position across four dimensions: Concept understanding, Application skill, Cross Connection thinking, Presentation under examination conditions.

The result is not a report. It is a learning prescription. Exactly which pillars in which topics require how many hours of structured work. This is what a custom learner plan is built from.

 partents  common questions

what athlete families ask before booking

Yes. Every weschool programme is one-to-one with fully flexible scheduling. Sessions are timed around training, not the other way around. The TLC Learning Assessment determines the realistic daily academic commitment, which for most full-time athletes is two to three hours of structured live sessions.

The timetable is rebuilt for the new time zone. Your dedicated coordinator manages this before the travel begins. The learner returns from competition without academic backlog. This is not a theoretical capability, it was tested with the Zimbabwe U19 cricket group during World Cup preparation.

Yes. Cambridge CAIE and Pearson Edexcel certificates are identical for private candidates and school-enrolled candidates. There is no secondary category. The qualification is the qualification.

The TLC Learning Assessment determines the exact requirement. Typically two to three hours of structured one-to-one sessions per day, depending on the programme and examination timeline. This is designed to fit around training blocks not compete with them.
Yes. weschool provides complete academic programmes for academy-enrolled athletes. The partnership model covers all athletes in the academy under a coordinated weschool account with academy-level oversight. Contact our partnerships team at /partner-with-us/sports-academies for details.
